EMERGENCY PLANS

PLANNING SECTION

The Office of Emergency Management has created, with the support of their partners, numerous plans throughout the years.  Of these planes, we place the following two online:  Emergency Operations Plan and the Spartanburg County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan.  We make these two plans accessible to the public in hopes of enhancing their knowledge on operations of the county before, during, and after a disaster.

EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN

The Spartanburg County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is a multi-discipline, all-hazards plan that establishes a single, comprehensive framework for the management of major emergencies and disasters within the County. The EOP establishes the overall roles and responsibilities for emergency operations, as well as the concept of operations for the County.

NATURAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
nmp.jpg

Approved by FEMA, SCEMD, and adopted by numerous municipalities/special purpose districts throughout Spartanburg County, the County's Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan identifies hazards, establishes mitigation goals and objectives, and identifies projects that will help prepare for and reduce the impacts of natural disasters. The Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 requires all localities to adopt a hazard mitigation plan in order to be eligible for funding under the Pre-Disaster and Hazard Mitigation Grant Programs.
